Privacy Policy

This policy explains the limited information Neon Blitz uses to operate the game, protect its leaderboard, remember device-local progress, and understand basic gameplay reliability.

Information you provide

When you start a run, you provide a pilot callsign. If an eligible run is submitted, the callsign is stored with the score, highest wave, run duration, game version, submission time, and an approximate country code supplied by the hosting network when available. Callsigns and scores are public on the leaderboard, so do not use a real name or other personal information unless you want it displayed.

Game sessions and abuse prevention

The service creates an opaque run identifier and receives limited progress updates so it can assess whether a submitted score is plausible. A short-lived pseudonymous client key is derived on the server from network and browser request information using a protected secret. It supports rate limiting and duplicate-abuse checks; the raw network address and browser string are not placed in leaderboard rows by the application.

Local device storage

The game uses browser local storage for progression, achievements, cosmetics, settings, personal records, an explicitly confirmed callsign, and a pending score if online submission fails. The service worker also uses the browser cache to provide the installable and offline game shell. You can clear this device-local information through your browser or site-data settings.

First-party gameplay events

Neon Blitz records a small set of operational events such as game started, game over, wave reached, boss defeated, achievement unlocked, and returning player. These events may include a numeric game value, opaque session identifier, pseudonymous rate-limit key, and timestamp. They are used to understand game operation and are not an advertising profile.

Cookies, hosting, and third parties

The game does not currently set advertising cookies or load Google AdSense or an external advertising script. Infrastructure providers process requests and technical logs as needed to deliver the site, secure traffic, and operate the D1 database. If advertising technology is enabled in the future, this policy and any required consent controls will be updated before activation.

Retention, safety, and choices

Leaderboard records may remain available to preserve rankings and may be removed for moderation, abuse prevention, legal compliance, or service maintenance. Session and analytics records are retained only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the game. Avoid offensive callsigns or personal information. A public support address is not yet configured; the Contact page will identify the channel for access, correction, or removal requests once it is available.

Policy changes

This page will be updated when data practices materially change. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
